Optivizor

What is the Optivizor™?

The ingenious Optivizor™ is designed specifically to protect the eyes after surgery or trauma to the eyes or face.

In addition to providing excellent protection to the eyes and face after surgery, the Optivizor™ also works for general eye protection as it causes no discomfort or obstruction for the dog during use.

Features

  • The Optivizor™ is made from clear soft PVC the vizor is produced flat, and when assembled creates a contoured shape to fit your dogs features. It is assembled by the Vets when needed, using the easy assembly instructions.
  • The Optivizor™ is available in a range of five sizes from Toy, Small, Small/Medium, Medium and Large
  • The design incorporates a head rest which cushions and allows space between the Optivizor™ and the animals face allowing for greater air flow and comfort.
  • Provision has been made to allow for adjustment by using the side straps which allow for an increase in head length and the chin strap can be adjusted to allow for greater head width.
  • The Peel off lines on the snout of the Optivizor™ have been incorporated as an adjustment means for animals with a shorter snout. (Simply snip and peel off).
  • The Optivizor™ is easily cleaned with warm soapy water and dried with a towel
  • The Optivizor™ has been designed to accommodate dogs with a Occipital Bone of Prominence
  • The Optivizor™ has been designed to accommodate an easy one step process for medicating the patient. The chin strap can be undone and the Optivizor™ will slide over the animals head without completely being removed. Medication can then be easily administered.
  • An advantage of the Optivizor™ over the existing E Collar is the patients ears are outside the vizor and therefore eliminates the possibility of ear and yeast infection due to moisture.
  • The Optivizor™ also eliminates the possibility of disorientation to the patient after eye surgery due to the echo effect caused by the existing E collar.

Novaguard™

What is the Novaguard™?

The Novaguard™ has been designed as an alternative to the Elizabethan Collar or Buster Collar. This alternative allows the animal 85% greater freedom of movement. It fits comfortably on the animals head not unlike a baseball cap and moves with the animal rather than just hanging loosely around the animals neck.

Features

  • The Novaguard™ is designed to create a barrier to stop the animal accessing wounds or other conditions and after surgery or trauma.
  • The Novaguard™ is manufactured in six sizes from Miniature, Toy, Small, Small/Medium, Medium and Large and is made from semi transparent polypropylene plastic.
  • The Miniature and Toy is also offered in a soft transparent PVC plastic.
  • The design incorporates a head rest which cushions and allows space between the inner surface of the Vizor and the animals face allowing for greater air flow and comfort.
  • Provision has been made for animals with larger heads by adjusting the side straps. This adjustment increases the opening size for animals with a greater collar size.
  • The Peel off lines on the snout of the Novaguard™ have been incorporated as an adjustment means for animals with a shorter snout. (Simply snip and peel off).
  • The Novaguard™ is easily cleaned with warm soapy water and dried with a towel
  • The Novaguard™ has been designed to accommodate dogs with a Occipital Bone of Prominence

Equivizor™

Equivizor Recovery

The Equivizor Recovery is designed to provide maximum protection to the face of the horse preventing injury to the eye, skin, underlying tissues, blood vessels and nerves.

The Recovery Vizor will help prevent orbital abscess, injury to the lens, iris and retina from blunt or sharp corneal / scleral trauma. Glaucoma and cataract patents can recover without fear of injury to the effected eye.

The Equivizor Recovery comes with a specially designed halter which clips through the nose and side spacers preventing the horse from removing the Vizor during recovery. The halter can also be used as a conventional halter.

The spacers on the Vizor are located on the forehead, nose and cheek region. They act to lift the Vizor away from the face allowing for air flow eliminating overheating and frosting.

Other uses for the Equivizor Recovery to be explored are for Horse sports such as Harness Racing, Thoroughbred Racing, Polo and Polo Cross and horses in the Police force.

Equivizor Anaesthesia

The Equivizor Anaesthesia offers extensive protective coverage from the poll, occipital and parietal area to the underlying blood vessels, facial nerves and tissues without impeding the horses field of vision.

When floating your horse you can't go past a protective helment when transporting your horse.

The Neoprene insert protects the horse and the PVC outer casing protects the Neoprene casing from damage. The two combined provides a strong cushioning barrier during anaesthesia.

The Equivizor Anaesthesia can also be used as a protective aid when transporting the horse by road or air.

The Equivizor Anaesthesia is made up of three components:

  • A 2mm thick soft clear PVC outer casing
  • A 20mm thick Neoprene Helmet style insert
  • A heavy duty halter with D ring over the nasal area

Equivizor Ophthalmology

The Equivizor Ophthalmology is specifically for use after eye surgery and enables the horse owner or vet to apply medication freely by unclipping the front section and lifting to expose the eye area. The Vizor allows for ventilation in and around the eyes eliminating possible frosting due to overheating.

The Equivizor Ophthalmology is made up of four components:

  • A 2mm thick soft clear PVC outer casing
  • A 20mm thick Neoprene Helmet style insert
  • A sectionalized quick release halter
  • A black stretch clip on eye patch

The quick release sectionalized halter and side clips permit the halter to be released quickly for medication and routine checking. Once clipping back together the halter becomes a conventional halter again.

Protecting the eye from direct sunlight can be achieved by sticking any type of tape on the surface of the vizor e.g black duct tape directly over the damaged eye.This allows the Veterinarian the Nurse or the Owner access to the eye for medication and check ups.

Endoscope Stabiliser

Used for specialised performance evaluations to diagnose problems associated with high performance horses.

One such performance evaluation is the examination of the upper respiratory tract when the horse is in motion whilst using a high speed treadmill.

A Video endoscope is inserted in one nostril and stabilised with the use of the new Endoscope Stabiliser manufactured by Equivizor Pty Ltd and Distributed by Provizor Pty Ltd.

The use of the Endoscope Stabiliser allows for accurate reading when the Horse is travelling at high speeds on the treadmill, as the rapid movement can result in the dislodgement of the Endoscope. Not using the Endoscope Stabiliser could result in an inaccurate reading and therefore an inaccurate diagnosis.
